Orbit Drilling was established since early 1995. Martin and Amanda Smith built the company from a one rig operation to what it is today. A Family operated business, Orbit Drilling grew from strength to strength incorporating years of experience in the Drilling, Mining and Administrative areas.

Both Martin and Amanda Smith, since the conception of the company have played an integral role in the development of Orbit Drilling.

Environmental Drilling
Our Rigs are designed to significantly reduce ground and vegetative disturbance. The Rigs are compact lightweight rigs with the capabilities of drilling to depths of 100 metres with onboard air. We are committed to continually improving the way in which we conduct our operations and the outcomes of those operations. Sustainability to the environment is achieved by continually monitoring the outputs into the environment, regular reviewing of workplace practices, minimizing our impact on natural vegetation maintaining our fleets to minimize emissions and training staff in all aspects associated with the safe care of our environment.

Safe Drilling Processes
Our Drilling process incorporates safe working processes and systems with competently trained staff to meet our own high standards of Safety. All our personnel undergo formal and informal training to meet specific standards as set by the Australian Drilling Industry Association and our company. A Safety Coordinator ensures all plans and procedures are reviewed and monitored to ensure a continuous safe working environment for everyone. All our employees are Inducted following our company policies and procedures, trained through our Company to meet our high standards of Occupational Health and Safety.
